CVE-2024-3725
The Otter Blocks plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its Post Grid widget affecting versions up to 2.6.9. The flaw stems from inadequate sanitization of user inputs and lack of proper escaping when rendering attributes like titleTag, allowing authenticated users with contributor privileges or higher to embed malicious scripts into pages. When site visitors view pages containing this injected code, the scripts execute in their browsers, potentially compromising user data or account security. The vulnerability was addressed in version 2.6.10.
Based on public CVE data (MITRE/NVD).
